FORMATEUR

Amitabha Gangopadhyay, M.Eng., P.Eng, is well recognized in power system engineering, where he has made many contributions to a wide range of power system applications during the past 35 years.
Prior to pursuing higher studies in Canada, Amitabha worked in the utility industry and with English Electric in India. In Canada, Amitabha has worked with Group Schneider, Global Thermoelectric, Fuel Cell Energy and SNC Lavalin in many areas of power system engineering. Currently, Amitabha works in regulatory matters related to the electric reliability of bulk power systems in North America.
His areas of interest are electrical transmission and distribution, protection and smart grid applications. Amitabha holds a Master's Degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has published several papers in international journals and conferences.
Amitabha is a professional engineer in the province of Alberta.
